Mark your calendars for November 12, 2011, to attend
The 4th Annual Caring for the Caregiver Symposium
In celebration of Caregivers throughout Stockton and the surrounding areas, Healings in Motion invites you to attend this day of leisure, laughter and learning. Caregivers, who labor tirelessly in support of loved ones and who are a vital part of a person’s recovery, are so often — the forgotten ones.
The event encompasses three things:
- Learning – through workshops, presentations, demonstrations and a (men’s) panel discussion. Exhibitors will be on hand to provide information on resources available to caregivers and their loved one.
- Leisure – through relaxation activities
- Laughter – through the magical journey of a magician
Most importantly it provides a network of other Caregivers who understand what you are going through.
The keynote speaker, Wayne Connell, is the Founder and CEO of Invisible Disabilities Association and Co-author of “But You LOOK Good!”. Wayne’s journey that led him to start IDA stems from his love of friends and family. Heather Rogers, will entertain with her audience participation and mind enhancing magic show.
The event will be held at the Central United Methodist Church, 3700 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204, from 8am – 4:00pm.
Tickets for this event can be purchased at: http://theinvisiblemagicofcaregiving.eventbrite.com.
